Warrington stands ahead of its larger North West rivals as the region's most prosperous town.
According to the Cities Outlook 2009 report, produced by the Centre for Cities, Warrington is the most prosperous town in the North West; and the eighth most prosperous across the whole of the rest of the country. Nevertheless, Warrington is looking to insulate itself from the effects of the economic downturn with a robust regeneration framework.
The aim is to develop international business opportunities of national importance, which will make an important contribution to the local and regional economy.
