A vibrant and colourful town centre.
A neighbourhood management approach has been established for our urban centre, with the aim of creating a vibrant and colourful town centre, which is an attractive focus for the borough and wider sub-region.
The town centre renaissance programme includes:
- Maximising the potential of the revitalised Golden Square
- Bridge Street Area
- Exploring the commercial and residential opportunities of the Cockhedge Quarter, linking it back to the main town centre.
- Warrington Waterfront
- Providing a cultural hub in the Palmyra Quarter, Warrington's historic district.
- A new town centre business district anchored by a new mainline rail gateway, the Bank Quay Gateway.
- The Central Hub business district focused around Warrington's central transport interchange.
- Major improvements to Bank Park and the Town Hall to develop Golden Gardens, Warrington town centre's premier park.
- Public Realm Framework
- Warrington "At Night" - a co-ordinated approach to making the town centre safer and more appealing in the evening.
